Colleen Atwood wins BAFTA

Colleen Atwood has taken home the BAFTA for costume design for her work on Tim Burton’s fantastical Alice in Wonderland. Atwood will have to find some room on the mantelpiece for her latest trophy, as it will sit alongside her previous two BAFTAs (for Memoirs of a Geisha, in 2006, and Sleepy Hollow in 2000) and two Oscars (again for Geisha and also for Chicago in 2002) plus her many industry awards.

Now we just have the Costume Designers Guild Awards and the Oscars to see if she wins the trifecta in the next fortnight.

Luckily, my Maltesers were on Atwood to win for this one, so that’s my chocolate bonus for the week…
